I liked it but here comes 100% honest feedback 😀 - The hotel itself is very nice. Loved the rooms. Our room was a little on the small side but that wasn't an issue. Rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable - you have everything you need and more. Very comfortable bed. Ski-in, ski-out is a great plus. Nice and quiet location. The cleanliness of the hotel is top notch. 😞 - There is room for improvement in the restaurant department. Breakfast is exactly the same every day, and you don't have many choices (no vegetables besides slices of cucumber and tomatoes). There is no fruit prepared and cut, just a bowl of bananas, oranges, and grapes. You won't leave hungry, but for a 4-star hotel, a little more is expected. The coffee at breakfast is very poor and needs immediate attention. Dinner service is very quick, perhaps sometimes too quick for a fine-dining experience that is being attempted to be mimicked. Unfortunately, the quality is not quite there... Some dishes are great, some are a letdown. The majority of the clientele is French-speaking, but it couldn't hurt to pay a little more attention to the English translation of the dinner menu. For instance, "Lamb mice" (sic!) was actually a lamb shank 🙂 The spa area is just okay. There is one pool, two jacuzzis, a couple of saunas, but unfortunately, there is no seating area for those who would like to catch a break in between sauna sessions and don't want to spend it next to the pool where there are splashing children around.

Perfect in every way… Second visit to Alparena Spa …perfect in every way,from the wonderful reception by Elisabeth and her staff to the fabulous facilities. A truly ski in,ski out hotel….spotlessly clean with fabulous spa. Amazing rooms,views right across the valley and underground parking..with lifts straight up to the rooms. Lovely lunchtime terrace with live music …literally cannot find fault with anything. We plan to be back next season.

Winter Lunch My friends and I went to the Solario two times. And the food was excellent. Also many thanks to Elizabeth and all her colleagues who was very professional and friendly. Little tips: take the salted butter crepes and add pecan on it it would blow your mind.

Ski shop, boot room all located in the hotel near the ski in/out facility. Kids room well interior designed and placed next to evening drinks bar so adults and kids close by. Solario restaurant with outside terrace looking at breathtaking views. Menu a perfect mix of local and contemporary cuisine with the quality served outstanding. Spa facilities were perfect for winding down after a long days ski with an abundant offering of sauna, swim and jacuzzi. Bedrooms well considered, designed and proportioned. The hotel team could not do more for us and manager Elizabeth was always on hand with a smile to help with any request.

Just spent a wonderful week at Alparena and I can not fault it. The welcome we got from Elisabeth (hotel manager) and her staff was fantstatic and it set the standard for the week which did not faulter. The rooms were beautiful. We stayed in a self catered suite with double bedroom, lounge/kitchen area and bunk bed for our 3 yr old. The views were amazin and the rooms etc top notch. Location was perfect, ski in/out but within easy walk for ski school meet point for those that are learning. Breakfast was standard buffet style but very pleasant and plenty of it. Couldn't really ask for more. Evening meals were extremely varied and again could not fault them. If your hoping for more standard fayre (pizzas etc) then maybe think about not going half board, if you happy with more exotic foods you will not be disappointed. Finally, the spa and swimming pool were lovely with exceptional views. I went with my wife and 3 Yr old, my little one loved the pool and play room and all staff made a huge fuss with pencils and paper etc at dinner and lunch times. Overall, can't wait to go back.

Absolutely amazing Wow wow and wow, before we had even made it to the slopes, me and the wife had already decided we were coming back in 2025. I am at a loss for how this is 4 and not a 5 star hotel. Having arrived at almost midnight on the Saturday night due to flight and transfer issues, the hotel staff were on the ball from the off. They provided us with a complimentary drink and evening meal which was needed due to being able to get nothing of substance since getting onto the plane at 3pm. We had upgraded to the superior twin room and the room is top quality from the amazing bathroom down to the electronic control of the room with the lights and heating and less we not forget the multitude of plugs you can use and the contactless charging points on the bedside cabinets. We had one slight issue with the spa bath but this was done within an hour of reporting it the following morning. There are spectacular views in the morning and the hotel is also a ski in and ski out location right near the bottom of the Les Eucherts lift. Every single member of hotel staff were amazing and would do anything even if it meant going out of their way to make you happy, I simply can’t fault any of them. We went out half board, and I can’t deny I am the fussiest person when it comes to food but thankfully Kian (a lad from Wales) who has been in France since he was 2 who was one of the waiters spoke fluent French and explained what all the meals were and when there was something that was not liked, they provided an alternate that was not on the menu. We also met a couple from Wales where one of their kids broke their leg with them ending up in a wheelchair, again the hotel staff were amazing with them helping out in any way they could. The whole gym and spa area is truly worth a visit alone but having that at the end of a day’s skiing is really nice to have on your doorstep. There is also a break out room for the kids and a room with lots of pods that you can chill out in and read a book for a bit of quiet time. The hotel has two restaurants, we visited both and the food is amazing in either one but one does not cater for evening meals. If needed there is also a ski shop on site. There is probably more that I have missed but that was what we had used, there are plenty of reviews mentioning Elizabeth but we never met here till the last day and she has already helped us with my food aversions for the next time we come out, the place is absolutely amazing, we will not go anywhere else and have found our home on the slopes for the foreseeable future.

After coming across Hotel Alparena by chance when booking our ski trip and being wowed by the photos, we couldn't wait.|From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding warm and friendly. We thought being given a tour of the hotel by the receptionist was a nice touch to get you orientated.|Getting from the carpark to our room was so easy and close.|The room was amazing, really warm, plenty of storage and full of gadgets. We did manage to get some of the TV channels to covert to English speaking as they were all originally in French. A neat touch was motion-sensors to the floor lights to the bathroom for during the night.|The food was amazing well presented and a taste sensation, the chefs and waiting staff deserve a mention for their high attention to detail.|The ski shop provided a hand wax service for our skis and we really noticed the difference compared to a machine wax.|The ski-in-ski-out is perfect being right by the lifts, a nice touch was the cereal bars for a tasty snack on the lifts.|What would be a great addition to the ski locker area is a bench in the outside covered area to put your boots on, as you can overheat putting your gear on in the locker room.|We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again in a heart beat.|All the staff are polite & friendly and a credit to the Hotel and they can't do enough to make your stay the best ever.
